DIRECT flights from Budapest to New York and Chicago

Direct flight from Budapest to New York? YES, it is possible now.

The LOT operates regular flights from Budapest to New York and Chicago.

From May 2018, the LOT Polish Airlines operates four direct flights a week between Budapest and New York and two direct flights a week between Budapest and Chicago.

The LOT flies to New York four times a week, on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays, twice a week to Chicago, on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Budapest became the base of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner flying to the USA. This means that, contrary to the Malév which went bankrupt in the beginning of 2012, the LOT has been able to renew itself by opening its first foreign headquarters in Hungary.

As a result, we can now get back from Budapest to the USA without a change.
